KU Law reports students employed 10 months following graduation to the ABA and NALP. For the Class of 2015, both the ABA and NALP required that a student be employed as of April 15, 2016, to be counted.

Class of 2015 Geographical Distribution - ABA
Graduation from KU Law permits you to stay in the region or move anywhere you prefer. While percentages vary widely, about 36% of 2015 graduates remained in Kansas, and another 39% took positions in Missouri. The balance of our students commenced their careers in communities across the U.S. Members of the Class of 2015 accepted positions in 19 states, including California, Texas, Colorado, New York and Washington, D.C. Over the last five years, KU Law graduates have started their careers in at least 33 states. KU Law alumni can also be found in all 50 states and countries around the globe, including China, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia.

Bar Exam
Kansas is the primary jurisdiction for the bar exam. The school's pass rate for first-time takers of the July 2015 Kansas bar was 91.6%, compared to the overall statewide pass rate of 76.1%. In February 2015, the pass rate for KU first-time test takers was 100%, compared to the overall statewide pass rate of 81.5%. In July 2014, the school's pass rate for first-time takers of the Kansas bar was 82.4%, compared to the overall statewide pass rate of 78.7%. In February 2014, the pass rate for KU first-time test takers was 96.7%, compared to the overall statewide pass rate of 86.0%.

The school's pass rate for first-time takers of the July 2015 Missouri bar was 94.7%, compared to the overall statewide pass rate of 84.0%. The pass rate for KU first-time takers of the Missouri bar in February 2015 was 100%, compared to the overall statewide pass rate of 77.7%. The school's pass rate for first-time takers of the July 2014 Missouri bar was 87.18%, compared to the overall statewide pass rate of 85.35%. The pass rate for KU first-time takers of the Missouri bar in February 2014 was 83.33%, compared to the overall statewide pass rate of 80.53%.
