April 26, 2012Students in the Class of 2012 officially became KU Law alumni during the Hooding Ceremony on May 12 at the Lied Center. Former FDIC Chair Sheila Bair, L'78, addressed the class on behalf of alumni, and Dean Stephen Mazza recounted the indelible mark class members left on the school.

April 26, 2012Professor Martin Dickinson led KU Law students on the traditional walk from new to old Green Hall. Students enjoyed a talk by Dickinson on the history of the law school on the steps of the law school's former home (now Lippincott Hall).
Kansas City Alumni Reception in the Power & Light District
April 12, 2012More than 60 alumni, faculty and staff attended a KU Law reception in the Power & Light District on April 12. The Marquee Lounge at the restored AMC Mainstreet Theatre provided a fun venue for cocktails and conversation, and several attendees walked away with raffle prizes.
Final Arguments of the 2012 Moot Court Competition
April 12, 2012Four finalists arose from a pool of 52 second-year law students to compete in the final round of the 2012 Moot Court Competition: Trent Byquist, Rachel Nelson, Bri Harris and Britt Lagemann. Representing the respondent, Byquist captured the award for best oral advocate, and he and Nelson won first place in the brief category.
Women in Law Pub Night 2012
April 6, 2012Students, faculty and staff turned up at Pub Night 2012 decked out in flapper dresses, feather boas, suit vests and fedoras in celebration of the speakeasy theme. Attendees enjoyed entertainment by the law school band the Moody Bluebooks and some brave first-year male students on April 6.

April 12-13, 2010Justice Sandra Day O'Connor returned to campus for the first time since 1984, visiting students, faculty and alumni of the KU School of Law during a two-day visit that included a "fireside chat," a Q&A with law students and lunch with students and faculty.
