Why I'm a Jayhawk Lawyer ...KU Law has community. It's not just about where you get a law degree, but where you want to spend those three years of your life. That's why Alyssa Boone chose KU Law. With an undergraduate degree in flute performance and no lawyers in her family, Alyssa came to KU Law unsure of what to expect. She quickly got involved in student organizations and has developed a core group of friends who regularly socialize outside of Green Hall. Alyssa takes advantage of all that the University of Kansas has to offer, from performing in the KU Flute Choir to attending campus concerts and events. She gives back to the KU community through her work at Legal Services for Students. When Alyssa isn't on campus, she soaks up the artistic vibe of the Lawrence community. She loves to visit Mass Street, the heart of downtown Lawrence, with its great food and lively atmosphere. From sushi to tacos, street musicians to world-renowned orchestras, Lawrence exudes ecclecticism, and Alyssa values the variety. |
