2L  |  Lawrence, KS  |  University of Kansas  |

Hello! My name is Alison Collins Dessert, and I am a second-year law student. I am originally from Norfolk, Nebraska but earned my undergraduate degree in speech and language from the University of Kansas. I love Lawrence and have lived here for many years, so I’m happy to answer any questions you might have about this great town!

After graduation, I taught English as a Second Language and worked as a yoga instructor and personal trainer. Before law school, I earned a Legal Studies Certificate from Washburn University in Topeka. My time at Washburn helped me realize how much I wanted to be an attorney. I began law school in the summer of 2015 and have loved the community and challenge that KU brings. Outside of school, I am a mom of four fantastic kids and a lover of music and the arts.

I look forward to meeting you!
