2L  |  Junction City, KS  |  Kansas State University  |

Hello! My name is Sarah McMillin-Beckman, and I am a 2L from Junction City, Kansas. I graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor's in history and political science.

At K-State, I competed as a member of the policy debate team and qualified for out-rounds at several national tournaments. I have also worked as a community organizer for the nonprofit organization Texas Campaign for the Environment, where I canvassed neighborhoods in Dallas to facilitate grassroots political action and education on environmental issues.

When deciding which law school to attend, I knew I wanted a school that students authentically loved and one that would offer challenging and thought-provoking courses. I chose KU because of the quality of professors, location and cost of attendance. After completing my first year of law school, I am so grateful to be part of the KU Law community.

I know firsthand how stressful it can be to complete applications, research, and choose a law school, but I also remember how very exciting the whole process can be as well. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have.

I hope to hear from you soon!
