1L  |  Casper, WY  |  University of Mary  |  ashleyakers@ku.edu

Hi there! My name is Ashley Akers, and I am a 1L from Casper, Wyoming. I received my bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice and English from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota (the coldest place ever).

Before coming to KU, I had never been to Kansas and didn’t know a single person. It was a far-reaching endeavor if there ever was one. However, just months into law school, I love KU. I’ve made Lawrence my home and made wonderful friends.

I know how exhausting it is to choose a law school, so if you need any advice, or if you relate with me on any matters, feel free to contact me and I would love to help. I encourage you to visit KU so you can experience the law school community.

I hope to hear from you soon!
