Jackie is a 3L from Lawrence, KS. She attended The University of Kansas where she received a bachelor's degree in biology and went on to receive a master’s in Health Services Administration from The University of Kansas School of Medicine. Prior to law school, Jackie spent four years working as a consultant on transactional and strategy-focused projects for healthcare clients. She has accepted an associate attorney position with Polsinelli in Kansas City following graduation.

In addition to serving as Co-Head Dean’s Fellow, Jackie is the Editor-in-Chief of the Kansas Journal of Law & Public Policy and a member of Women in Law. Outside of school, Jackie serves as a board member for the Kansas Association of Health Care Executives. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their almost 2-year-old daughter.

Her best advice to a 1L is to figure out what works for YOU – law school looks different for everyone. It can be hard not to compare yourself to others, but I promise each of you are here for a reason. The best thing you can do is build a routine that works for you, your strengths, and your goals.
