Hello all. I am originally from Topeka, Kansas. I went to K-State for undergrad and majored in Life Sciences and minored in Women's Studies. After graduating, I spent two years in the Peace Corps in Eastern Europe (Moldova) as a Health Education volunteer. After Peace Corps, I went to nursing school at KU. I then worked as a nurse for 4.5 years at a Family Medicine office in Lawrence.

My husband's name is Hazen, and he is a Family Medicine doctor at a practice in Kansas City, Kansas. We have a 4-year-old dog named Hank and a two year-old-daughter, Matilda "Tilly."

In my spare time, I love to be outside, travel, eat, listen to podcasts (Revisionist History, In the Dark, MFM), and watch TV (Schitt's Creek, The Americans, Peaky Blinders, Chernobyl, Insecure, Veep). We like to go to nearby lakes (Clinton, Perry) for camping and hiking. We just bought a 1997 Winnebago Warrior and named her "Bonnie."

I am still undecided about which type of law I want to practice, but am most interested in Healthcare/Health Policy and Criminal Law. I am in the Public Interest Law Society, Federal Bar Association, Women in Law, the Dean's Diversity Leadership Council and the Kansas Law Review.
