KU Law voted 'Best of Midwest'

LAWRENCE – The University of Kansas School of Law was voted the No. 1 law school in the Midwest in a recent survey.

KU Law received the top spot in the law school category of “Best of Midwest 2019,” an annual poll conducted by The National Law Journal. Voting in the survey is open to lawyers, judges and law firm administrators. Additional information about the survey is available on The National Law Journal’s website.

“We’re honored to receive this recognition from the legal community in the Midwest,” said Stephen Mazza, dean and professor of law. “At KU Law, we strive to provide students with the knowledge and skills that build the foundation for a successful legal career. Our alumni form a strong network throughout the region, advocating for KU Law in everything from graduate job placement to ranking surveys like this one.”

KU Law produces consistently positive results for job placement and bar exam passage rates. More than 93% of KU Law graduates in the Class of 2018 were employed or enrolled in a full-time graduate program 10 months after graduation, as reported to the American Bar Association (.pdf). More than 90% of graduates who took the Kansas bar exam passed during the 2018 calendar year, as reported to the ABA.
