Hi everybody! My name is Skylee (she/her) and I am a 2L from San Diego, California. Before coming to law school, I attended University of Illinois at Chicago where I played softball and majored in biology. I worked in immigration for a few years before going back to school.

In addition to Dean’s Fellows, I am a member of OUTLaws & Allies, Women in Law, and Energy & Environmental Law Society. I am also involved in various pro bono matters throughout the school year. After law school, I am interested in either litigating or practicing corporate law in the renewable energy and natural resources sector.

Outside of school, I love doing yoga, spending time with friends, listening to true crime podcasts, trying new cooking recipes, and watching TV.

Law school forces you to step outside your comfort zone. My biggest piece of advice for 1L year is to stay true to and take care of yourself. Success in law school comes in many forms, so don’t compare yourself to others and always do what works best for you. It’s important to work hard but also make time for exercise, sleep, and loved ones!

I can’t wait to see you all grow in Green Hall this year! Please feel free to reach out with anything you need.
