Rachel Vande Kieft - Dean's Fellows

Hi everyone! My name is Rachel Vande Kieft. I am a 2L from Rochester, Minnesota. Prior to attending law school, I received my Bachelor's in Political Science from Wichita State University.
In addition to Dean's Fellows, I am a staff editor for the Kansas Law Review, a member of Women in Law, and involved with the Kansas Young Democrats! When I am not at Green Hall, I enjoy running and spending time outside.
In my career, I hope to go into medical malpractice defense and general health law. I spent the summer after 1L working as a Summer Associate with Martin Pringle in Wichita, KS, and greatly enjoyed working with these practice areas!
My best advice to a 1L: Work hard, but be sure to take time to get to know your classmates. It is very easy to get lost in reading, outlining, and studying, but don't forget to get out and make some friendships along the way. Work/life balance is truly the key to this endeavor!
