Hello everyone! My name is Kaitlin Hamilton, and I am at 3L here at KU Law. Before coming to law school, I went to KU where I got my bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in business. As you can probably imagine, I am a huge KU fan and have loved spending my last seven years here in Lawrence! In addition to being a Dean’s Fellow, I am a member of Women in Law, OUTlaws and Allies, and Balance and Well-Being. I am also the American Bar Association Class Representative for the 3L class. Last year, I interned for KU Law’s Paul E. Wilson’s Project for Innocence and Post-Conviction Remedies which has been one of the most rewarding parts of my law school experience so far.

Outside of school, I am a law clerk for a local plaintiff’s personal injury law firm. In my free time, I love to go thrifting, paint, hang out with my friends, and play with my cat, Sushi. I am so grateful for the opportunity to hold the position as a Dean’s Fellow and mentor the new 1L class. My best advice for 1Ls is to never compare yourself to anyone and to do what works best for you. No one knows you better than you know yourself!
