Hooding Ceremony: Event Updates

The KU School of Law will host a virtual hooding ceremony for the Class of 2021.

Visit the law school's Graduation page on May 15 to view the virtual hooding ceremony and other highlights for the Class of 2021. Graduates will receive an email with the ceremony recording at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 15.

All Lawrence and Edwards school, unit and department recognition events will be held virtually this spring. This includes the hooding ceremony for the School of Law.

KU Commencement: Event Updates

The university will host in-person Commencement ceremonies in May, both for this year’s graduates and the Class of 2020 in David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.

  • Commencement activities for the Class of 2021 are planned for Sunday, May 16.
  • Commencement activities for the Class of 2020 are planned for Sunday, May 23.

Steps to Complete with the Career Services Office

The Career Services Office will conduct exit interviews with each member of the graduating class starting on March 22. These meetings will be scheduled through Symplicity using the Career Counseling module. More information about how to schedule an appointment will be shared by email with the graduating class. 

Voting for Hooder and Marshals

The third-year class votes and selects faculty members to serve as the Marshals and the Hooder. Congratulations to the 2021 Hooder and Marshals:

Announcement Cards

Graduation announcements are available to order through the KU Bookstore.

Graduation Regalia

Regalia (hood, robe, tam and tassel) will be available for purchase from the Kansas Union Bookstore. For more information, visit the KU Bookstore. The law school will purchase a tam and tassel for members of the graduating class. If you did not submit the request form for a tam and tassel, contact Dean Mai.
