KU Commencement: Event Updates

The university will host in-person Commencement ceremonies both for this year’s graduates and the Class of 2020 in David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.

  • Commencement activities for the Class of 2020 and the Class of 2021 (rescheduled) are planned for 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 23.

Graduation and Hooding Ceremony Checklist

Steps to Complete with the Career Services Office

The Career Services Office will conduct exit interviews with each member of the graduating class starting on March 22. These meetings will be scheduled through Symplicity using the Career Counseling module. More information about how to schedule an appointment will be shared by email with the graduating class. 

Voting for Hooder and Marshals

The third-year class votes and selects faculty members to serve as the Marshals and the Hooder. Congratulations to the 2021 Hooder and Marshals:

  • Marshals: Professor Rick Levy and Professor Kyle Velte

Announcement Cards

Graduation announcements are available to order through the KU Bookstore.

Graduation Regalia

Regalia (hood, robe, tam and tassel) will be available for purchase from the Kansas Union Bookstore. For more information, visit the KU Bookstore. The law school purchased a tam and tassel for members of the graduating class.
