Global Programs at KU Law

Overview

KU Law offers a first-class program in international law at a major research university. Students have access to courses in the areas most relevant to practice around the world.

The law school's degree programs for international students include the Two-Year J.D. for Foreign-Trained Lawyers, LL.M. in American Legal Studies and Doctor of Juridical Science (S.J.D.). 

International students are integrated completely into the law school community, receiving full use of services such as advising and career placement. Additional offerings include the opportunity to connect with overseas visiting scholars, and access to many international partners. S.J.D. and LL.M. students may also elect to participate in KU Law's Free Bar Prep Program.

Conferences and guest lectures, study abroad opportunities, international moot court programs, active student organizations and a friendly, cosmopolitan environment round out the experience. Set in one of the top-ranked college towns in the United States, the University of Kansas School of Law is an excellent place for international and domestic students to begin or expand their legal careers.
