More than 75% of upper-level classes have 25 or fewer students. First-year students take half their classes in small sections. Those small working groups allow for personal interaction with professors and an informal learning environment that encourages in-depth discussion.

Hands-On Learning

Our experiential learning program includes a mix of clinical and field placement programs, offering students the chance to practice their skills with real clients and real opportunities to make a difference. Skills simulation courses provide training in advanced litigation, contract drafting and more.

Faculty

KU Law faculty are committed to excellence in the classroom and to serving as mentors for law students. Many have written the casebooks used in classrooms and at law schools across the country. Faculty offices are located throughout Green Hall, and doors are open to students.
