Wherever you land, the Jayhawk Lawyer network will be there to welcome and support you. More than 8,000 KU Law alumni live and work in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and many U.S. territories and foreign countries.

KU Law Alumni Locations Map

While many of our students and graduates choose to work in communities throughout Kansas or in the Kansas City metropolitan region, our students and graduates come from and work across the U.S. and abroad. Graduates in the past five years accepted positions in at least 30 states. Our loyal alumni are found in all 50 states and around the globe, including in China, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia.

Geographic distribution for the classes of 2016-2020

Recent graduates have been law clerks at all levels, including federal courts ranging from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit to numerous district, magistrate and bankruptcy courts. They have also served judges on the Kansas Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.

Over the past five years, our students and graduates have accepted summer and/or permanent employment with firms, businesses, public interest organizations, judges and government agencies all over the country, including the prestigious Department of Justice Attorney General's Honors Program.
