Working Paper Series


This category contains the University of Kansas Law And Literature Working Paper Series. Contributions to the Working Paper Series are welcome from around the world, from scholars (legal and non-legal), students (law and graduate) and practitioners (lawyers and non-lawyers). All contributions must satisfy the Eligibility Criteria.

 

The University of Kansas Law And Literature Working Paper Series is designed for papers in all stages of the writing process. Works may range from initial drafts to fully-formed article length submissions. Our goal is to foster a learning community where individuals may share their knowledge, insights, and curiosity on the topic of Law And Literature. 

Before making a submission, Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All Authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an Author. 

Working Paper Series Guidelines

Format and Style of Submissions

Submitted papers must be in Microsoft Word (.docx) format. Submissions should include a concise yet imaginative title. Authors are requested to include a brief abstract of no more than 250 words, and a straightforward table of contents.

Text should be single-spaced, use 12-point font, and have one-inch margins on all sides. Authors are welcome to use footnotes or endnotes. Authors may use the Bluebook citation style or any consistent citation most familiar to them.

Editing Process

Ours is a friendly, open-minded peer-reviewed process. Our Working Paper Series values each Author's creativity and individuality with respect to both substance and style. We work to maintain an Author's unique voice while also ensuring proper grammar and citation. We take seriously the Author's comments throughout the editing process. Our process is expeditious and we strive to bring manuscripts to publication in the shortest possible time.
