Biography

Before joining the KU Law faculty, Lisa Lattan represented large employers and financial services firms in all areas of employee benefits law, including ERISA, tax, executive compensation and securities issues. She handled audits and other matters before the Department of Labor and the Internal Revenue Service, and she has advised clients on the employee benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Lattan has also served as an expert witness in employee benefits litigation matters.

Lattan was a senior attorney in the legal departments of J.P. Morgan Chase and American Century Investments, and most recently she was a partner in the law firm of Utz & Lattan, LLC. She has spoken at financial services industry conferences and numerous continuing legal education seminars on employee benefits topics.
