Traci Scott

Traci Scott joined the KU School of Law in 2025 as the Administrative Associate in the Veterans Legal Support Clinic. She grew up in the Kansas City area; however, she received her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Howard University and her master’s degree in political management from George Washington University, both in Washington, D.C. Her career highlights include working at CBS News and as a TV reporter in Las Vegas. She was a communications director for a U.S. Senator and Congressman on Capitol Hill and has served as a key advisor to 16 Army generals and a Cabinet Secretary. Scott is a published author, public speaker and founder of a non-profit organization aimed at mentoring young professionals.
