Howdy, y'all! My name is Hunter Kruse and I am a 3L. I have spent plenty of time in Kansas, specifically, Lawrence. I was born and raised in Leawood, Kansas, and attended KU for my undergrad, where I got my accounting degree.

I chose to go to KU Law because it is an exceptional place to learn and grow the skills needed to become a great lawyer at a tremendous value.

More importantly, and this cannot be overstated, the community at Green Hall is one-of-a-kind. The smaller class sizes promote personal relationships and a very friendly atmosphere between fellow students, faculty and the administration.

In addition to Dean's Fellows, I have also participated in the VITA Tax Program and am a member of the Sports Law Society and Business Law Society. Outside of school, I enjoy being outside, working out, watching the Chiefs (and football) and hanging out with friends.

My best advice for 1L year is to not stress about things early on and day-to-day. If you put in quality time, everything will become clear in a matter of time. Law school is an exciting time and experience and should be enjoyed as so. I look forward to seeing you all around Green Hall this year!
