6 - 7 p.m. | 1-hour CLE | The Social Biome: Cultivating Meaningful Connection at Home and at Work
The workplace is among the most common places to meet friends, and social interactions at work can mitigate loneliness. Yet not all workplaces are conducive to building relationships, and long hours at the office can be a barrier to keeping our social biome in good health. The challenges of loneliness both in and out of the workplace are very real for people of all ages. If no one tends to the social biome of your organization, what can be done? In his talk, Dr. Hall will answer the question, how do you live a meaningful social life both at work and in your leisure time? Dr. Hall will discuss what individuals and organizations should do to combat workplace loneliness and build meaningful relationships at work. When work antagonizes connection, Dr. Hall will explore why the obligation to show care and compassion toward one another through communication is so important.
