In a typical year, more than 80% of future Jayhawk lawyers receive financial support from the law school. Scholarships help ensure that a KU legal education remains accessible to all.

By the Numbers: 2023 Giving
Scholarships are one of KU’s most powerful recruitment opportunities. Mine is the reason I came back to KU. Now, it minimizes my financial burden, allowing me to engage in diverse interest areas, leadership opportunities, career options and extracurricular activities. I am so thankful to the donors who make this experience possible for me and my fellow classmates.
My scholarship has radically changed the trajectory of my academic and professional career. It enabled me to pursue public interest work. I spend less time worrying about paying tuition and more time on my classes and student organizations.
I am honored to be named the Karelitz Chair in Evidence Law. The generosity reflected in this chair allows me to continue KU Law’s tradition of excellence in producing practice-ready lawyers who serve their clients with competence, compassion and commitment.
