I got my B.A. in English and French from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska. During my time there, I participated in a myriad of activities including Greek Life, and I spent five months studying abroad in Aix-En-Provence, France.
I decided to go to law school because I determined that a legal career was the perfect combination of my passion for learning and my passion for helping others. I have no lawyers within my immediate family, so the process of applying was a challenge that I would be more than happy to help others accomplish!
When applying to law school, I discovered KU Law’s work with the Project for Innocence which helps prisoners who otherwise might not receive legal representation. This discovery solidified my legal vocation as I was called to a career in which I could help change the lives of others, and I saw that KU Law School had the potential to provide me with the resources to accomplish my goals.
Although I was pulled to KU Law through the Project for Innocence, during my time on campus I’ve kept an open mind to all legal fields. I’ve gotten involved through founding a Chess Club, representing my class in the IP Society, and becoming a student ambassador. I’ve found the environment at KU to be one that fosters learning through collaboration and an environment I’m looking forward to sharing with any potential student who asks!
