Sidharth Mohan - Student Ambassador

Hi everyone! My name is Sidharth Mohan. I am a current 3L and I grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida. In 2023, I earned my bachelor's in political science magna cum laude, my bachelor's in history cum laude and a minor in anthropology from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.
My decision to go to law school was something I chose to do after COVID. A mentor of mine suggested that I ought to experience everything possible before settling on the law as a profession, and I tried every job I thought was interesting. From accounts to campaigning to my own start-up, I tried many jobs before realizing that there was no other job for me besides the law. I am primarily interested in transactional law or healthcare law, but with every lawyer I meet in a new practice, my curiosity grows. I realized that my end goal in life was to be in a position where I would never be at the mercy of others to put food on my table.
I chose to come to KU Law to explore new opportunities and further my personal and professional development. Living in Kansas was my first time living outside of Florida that I can remember. The school is very good at matching the level of engagement that I put in. I knew no one when I got to Kansas, and now, I am enmeshed in the social and academic life here.
I am the first in my family to attend law school and a second-generation American. I rarely interacted with lawyers before coming to KU, and KU makes it easy to connect with lawyers at every stage of their careers. I enjoy KU law precisely because it seems like I can have a different day every single day. Be it through classes, lunch events or a new person to talk to, there is always something new. Every person can be involved as little and as much as they would like to be.
My hobbies include traveling, learning new things, playing sports, socializing and hitting the gym after a long day in Green Hall. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or you just wanna chat.
