Hi! My name is Christy Harris and I am a 2L from Dallas. I attended Texas A&M University – Commerce and graduated with a bachelor's degree in social work and a master's degree in business management.  

After graduating with my master’s in 2012, I worked in a variety of fields, from commercial real estate to non-profit management and governmental support. Those experiences not only revealed areas in which I felt needed reform, but they were also the driving force in finally achieving my dream of becoming a lawyer.

As a non-traditional student and mom of three, it was important for me to find a law school that not only fostered professional growth but was inclusive and cared about the experiences and challenges of their student body. Throughout the entire enrollment process, every single person I spoke to, whether they were a dean, student ambassador or support professional, made me feel heard, supported and welcomed. I felt like I belonged at KU.
