Biography

Lauren Allen serves as General Counsel for the Housing Authority of Kansas City, Missouri. She is a results-driven legal professional with expertise in managing legal operations and delivering outstanding outcomes in fast-paced environments. She advises and represents the HAKC on a wide range of legal matters, including commercial transactions, contract negotiations and litigation management. Allen recently pioneered a successful paid legal internship program for law students through HAKC that is currently in its second year of implementation. She has been instrumental in initiating and implementing policy changes at local, state and national levels. Allen is a sought-after speaker who has presented at prestigious housing and redevelopment conferences. She is a mother, a bookworm, a foodie and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
