Keegun Gose - Dean's Fellows
2L, Abilene, Kansas | University of Kansas
My name is Keegun Gose, and I am a 2L. I grew up in Abilene, KS and went to undergrad at KU where I majored in History. During my undergraduate years, I also worked as a peer advisor and orientation assistant (so feel free to ask me any of your KU questions). I graduated in 2020 and spent the pandemic working in Keystone, Colorado and then the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City.
I became a KU Law Summer Starter in 2023 and served as a Student Bar Association (SBA) 1L class representative. I recently became the SBA executive vice president, and spent my 1L summer working as a legal intern at the Douglas County Public Defense office.
1L year is a marathon and the pace changes after the first few weeks. Focus on establishing good routines and getting to know classmates at the beginning of the year because the workload increases as the semester progresses. For me, routinely studying with friends was the most important part of my 1L experience both socially and academically
