Lane Barrette - Dean's Fellows

3L, Basehor, Kansas | University of Kansas
Lane Barrette is a 3L from Basehor, Kansas. Being a lifelong Kansan, he attended KU for undergrad, obtaining a bachelor's in Political Science and Theatre Performance.
In addition to being a Dean's Fellow, Lane is a Comment Editor for the Kansas Law Review and a proud member of OUTLaws & Accomplices. He has also competed in both the In-House and NALSA Moot Court Competitions. During the past two summers, he has worked as a judicial intern at the Johnson County Courthouse and a law clerk at Foulston Siefkin. After graduating, he anticipates pursuing civil litigation and/or a judicial clerkship.
Lane enjoys going out with friends, watching live theatre and watching movies in theatres. He strongly suggests taking a conscious effort to befriend and spend time with your classmates outside of Green Hall.
“It will make your time in Green Hall feel all the more welcoming and enjoyable.”
Lane looks forward to meeting each and every one of you, and he hopes law school is as fun and worthwhile to y'all as it was to him.
