Lane Barrette - Dean's Fellows
2L, Basehor, Kansas | University of Kansas
Hey, ya'll. I'm Lane (he/him) and I am a 2L from Basehor, Kansas. I attended KU (Rock Chalk) where I received my Bachelor of Arts in political science and theatre performance.
In addition to Dean's Fellows, I am excited to work as a staff editor for the Kansas Law Review and compete in moot court through the Shook, Hardy & Bacon Advocacy program. I am also a member of OUTLaws & Accomplices. After law school, I anticipate pursuing a civil practice doing litigation and/or a judicial clerkship.
Outside of Green Hall, I love performing in community theatre, going out with friends, and trying new restaurants. I also don't require much convincing to go watch a movie in theaters.
I found it incredibly worthwhile to make time to get to know my classmates personally. I have made some of my closest friends from law school, and I am so grateful to have that support system. I could not implore ya'll enough to befriend your classmates. It will make Green Hall feel all the more welcoming and familiar.
I am beyond excited to meet ya'll! I hope we can provide the support ya'll will need to be successful in Green Hall. This first year will likely be difficult, but it's nothing you can't handle.
