Lauren Fallis - Dean's Fellows
3L, Leawood, Kansas | University of Tulsa
Lauren is a third-year law student from Leawood, Kansas. She graduated from the University of Tulsa with a degree in biology and was a four-year Division I soccer player. At KU Law, aside from being a dean’s fellow, she is the vice president of Intellectual Property Society and a member of Women in Law. She was included in the pro bono honor roll two years in a row from her work with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program and Traffic Court. During her 2L year, she became a registered patent agent and served as a staff editor on Law Review.
Fallis spent her 1L summer as a Legal Associate Intern at AbbVie in North Chicago, where she worked on patent prosecution, IP litigation and FDA regulatory matters. She completed her 2L Summer Associate position at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner in Washington, D.C. doing IP litigation. She will return to Finnegan as an associate pending bar passage.
Outside of law school, Lauren enjoys pilates and traveling. Her advice: work hard and only compete against yourself because everyone’s journeys through law school—and definition of success—look different.
