Noell Hinsley - Dean's Fellows

Hi my name is Noell Hinsley, and I am going to be a 2L this fall! I am originally from Omaha, Nebraska, but attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona for my undergrad. I graduated after three years with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and was also a member of the GCU dance team for three years.
I moved to Kansas last April to attend law school and continue my passion for dance as a Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleader. Aside from Dean’s Fellows, I am also a member of Women in Law at KU. I currently live in Overland Park and love hanging out with friends, shopping, and drinking coffee.
As a future attorney, I am interested in family/juvenile law and have a particularly strong interest in doing work with foster care and adoption law. As a 1L, the biggest piece of advice I can give is to give yourself grace, law school is a big adjustment and don’t forget the things that make you, YOU and the people and activities that make you happy!
