Rachel Vande Kieft - Dean's Fellows

Hi everyone! My name is Rachel Vande Kieft. I am a 3L from Rochester, Minnesota. Prior to attending law school, I received my Bachelor's in Political Science from Wichita State University.
In addition to Dean's Fellows, I am an Articles Editor for the Kansas Law Review, a member of Women in Law and assist with tutoring 1L students. When I am not at Green Hall, I enjoy running and spending time outside.
After law school, I hope to practice in healthcare litigation or commercial litigation. I spent the summer after 1L working as a Summer Associate with Martin Pringle in Wichita, KS, and spent my 2L summer working at Polsinelli in Kansas City!
My best advice to a 1L: Work hard, but be sure to take time to get to know your classmates. It is very easy to get lost in reading, outlining and studying, but don't forget to get out and make some friendships along the way. Work/life balance is truly the key to this endeavor!
