Chrissy Crowell - Dean's Fellows
2L, Lake Saint Louis, Missouri | Rockhurst University
Hello everyone! My name is Chrissy Crowell, a 2L from Lake Saint Louis, MO. I graduated from Rockhurst University with a B.A. in Political Science and Criminal Justice, a minor in Leadership Development, and a certificate in Paralegal Studies.
I spent the summer interning at the Missouri Public Defenders in their Appellate/Post Convictions Relief division in Kansas City. I love the KC community and hope to move back after graduation.
Here at KU Law, I serve as the Vice President of the Balance and Well Being club. I am a member of the Public Interest Law Society, VITA Tax Clinic, and Women in Law. This year, you will see me around at the library front desk working as a desk assistant or up on the fourth floor working in the Project for Innocence and Post-Conviction Remedies Clinic.
My goal for 2023 is to read one book a week, and I am always looking for new book recs! My advice for 1Ls is to find time every day to do something not law school related. Personally, my go-to is to work on my reading goal. Giving yourself a break from the law school mindset is so important. Welcome to KU Law! We are so excited you are here!
