Chrissy Crowell - Dean's Fellows
3L, Lake Saint Louis, Missouri | Rockhurst University
Hello everyone! My name is Chrissy Crowell, a 3L from Lake Saint Louis, MO. I graduated from Rockhurst University with a degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice.
I’m interested in criminal law and will be working at the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office as a legal intern until graduation. I spent my 1L summer interning at the Missouri Public Defenders in their Appellate/Post Convictions Relief division in Kansas City. I love the KC community and hope to move back after graduation.
At KU Law, I’m a member of Balance and Well-Being, Women in Law, Outlaws and Accomplices and PILS. You’ll often see me around at the front desk of the library working as a desk assistant.
My advice to 1Ls is to give yourself a break from the law school mindset. The legal field is an intellectually challenging career path, so taking care of your mental health is how to best set yourself up for success. Your brain needs a break sometimes and it’s okay to take one!
