Neelie is a second-year law student from Olathe, Kansas. She attended the University of Kansas where she studied Spanish and Psychology. In addition to Dean's Fellows, she is the founder of Balance and Well-Being, a member of the Public Interest Law Society and Women in Law. She is also a law clerk outside of school.

Her best advice to a 1L is to remember why you started law school. Remember why you are here and remind yourself often throughout the semester. Use your 'why' to keep you going through your first year!

Outside of law school, Neelie likes to play Ultimate frisbee, read WWII historical fiction and hang out with her puppy and cat!
