Hello! My name is Cameron Savard, and I’m a 3L from Katy, Texas. From a young age, I always felt a calling to be in the public’s service like my ancestors before me, and I sought to undertake this as the first attorney in my family. I attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where I obtained a political science degree alongside four years in Texas A&M’s Corps of Cadets.

I elected to take two gap years following graduation, where I interned for a private company and my county court. Both experiences combined inspired me to enter this profession as I saw the direct impact lawyers can have on the lives of others, even in the smallest of tasks. In 2020, I started applying to schools and became instantly drawn to KU Law.

KU Law spoke to me in how it provides profound inclusivity and nationally recognized expert faculty who are there for students at any time. I felt KU Law championed a team spirit that seeks to send professionally connected and diverse Jayhawks into a nationwide network of alumni covering swathes of the legal profession.

With Lawrence being far from home, I can understand the concerns one may have in picking up to start anew in a graduate program. Rest assured; I will answer any questions you may have amid this personally invested process. Please do not hesitate to reach out and Rock Chalk!
